What we do

Our Mission

A Community Counter to Prevent is a coalition of civil society organisations who share concerns about the impact of the UK’s ‘Prevent’ counter-terror programme on communities, public services and human rights.

The coalition brings together human rights organisations, faith-based groups and research bodies from across Britain, to facilitate a broad-based, open and in-depth conversation about the future of safety and accountability in our communities. To find out more about our mission, click here

Publications

The Prevent programme remains highly controversial, and is consistently accused of targeting Muslim and minority communities, securitising civil society and operating on dubious methodologies. To further understand the impact of Prevent, we are collating and producing work on the programme and its impacts, which can be accessed on our publications page here
